Calvo’s SelectCare donated books to American Medical Center

Calvo’s SelectCare donated books to American Medical Center

Calvo’s SelectCare Health Plan is the first contributor to join a new consortium to fight childhood obesity in Guam.  The consortium funds the printing of two children’s books created locally to encourage kids to exercise regularly and eat right – – healthy habits that help prevent obesity. The books are written by award-winning writer, Frances Baumann, who heads a local advertising agency.  They feature colorful illustrations by artists, Ariel Dimalanta and Stephanie Librando, with read-along audio recorded by radio professional Ray Gibson and sing-along jump rope songs performed by Ernest Ochoco and Alyssa Valdez. Titled Ramon on the Phone and Midge at the Fridge, the books appeal to young readers four to ten years old.  Calvo’s SelectCare donated books to American Medical Center for its young patients.
